About the role As a Senior Engineer with us, you will be overseeing the technical delivery of projects for the team, be responsible for the preparation of design documentation for roading, earthworks, drainage and over-land-flow across residential, commercial and industrial developments.
Working closely with our established clients, managing our growing key clients in the region and nationally, ensuring we deliver cost-effective and high-quality design.
Leading project planning and design phases, contributing to innovative and efficient civil engineering solutionsMaster planning of civil infrastructureWaste water, stormwater, water supply, back flow preventionDesign of stormwater attenuation, treatment, and disposal systemsPaving design for asphalt, concrete and other hardstandsBulk earthworks quantities with Civil 3DInput to the production of detailed CAD drawings for all Design StagesCivil design reports and specificationsCollaborating closely with team members, stakeholders, and clients to deliver projects that meet or exceed expectationsEngaging in business development activities, fostering enduring relationships with clients and partnersMentoring junior engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learningWe offer We are passionate about offering a supportive and progressive work environment. About you Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent, with 8 years+ professional experience as a Civil Engineer working in New ZealandCPEng qualified or working towards registrationLeading and managing the delivery of civil engineering projects and operationsExperience designing and detailing civil engineering projects in AutoCAD and Civil 3DConversant with NZ Building codes, AS/NZ Standards and Local Authority requirements.Superb communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with clients, team members and stakeholders.An innovative thinker, always looking for ways to improve processes and designs for optimal outcomes.A high level of commercial awareness and financial competencyAbout us Kirk Roberts Consulting is a multi-disciplinary company providing Structural, Geotechnical, Fire, Civil and Environmental Engineering Services, plus Architecture and Engineering Software to a range of clients across New Zealand, from our offices in Christchurch, Queenstown, Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga.
