This is a fantastic opportunity based in our Palmerston North office for an experienced Senior Civil Designer / Technician to lead the design of transportation and civil infrastructure projects in the Manawatu-Whanganui region, in particular with regard to transport projects through all phases of design; and lead or assist with site surveillance, mentor junior staff, client management and business development. Key responsibilities include:
Lead civil design tasks for engineering works, ensuring appropriate technical reviews, verifications and Audits are completed according to WSP procedures.Prepare estimates and schedules of quantities for civil and roading projects.Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and requests for tender.Undertake construction management and supervision.Assist members of project teams with the engineering inputs required for projects.About You:
Relevant tertiary qualificationPreferably minimum of 10 years' professional experience in a related disciplineStrong mentorship/leadership skillsExperience working on New Zealand civil infrastructure projectsSolutions-driven, collaborative, and relationship-oriented.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse client base whilst upholding WSP's guiding principles.Why Us?
