Join Greenpeace to build and inspire public support for greater ocean protection.You will:- Lead and manage teams to deliver wins for ocean protection and ending deep sea mining through strategically-selected tactics- Support, develop and line manage campaigners and community engagement specialists- Engage with and ensure alignment with the Greenpeace International Oceans Are Life campaign- Maximise opportunities for successful campaigning in a dynamic world.ABOUT YOUYour background might be in campaigning, project or organisational leadership/management, or science and research. Regardless of where you have worked, you will have experience developing successful strategies and leading a team to deliver them. You will have strong people management skills.You will have an understanding of power and the different approaches to social change.You will be experienced with decision-making, prioritisation and creative problem solving. You will have a good knowledge of issues impacting the ocean, including scientific, legal and political, and experience of communicating the issues clearly and compellingly.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE• At least 5 years' experience relevant to strategic environmental campaigning (professionally and/or voluntarily)• Excellent strategic thinking• Experience in leading and inspiring teams to deliver a strategy and workplan• Resilient, comfortable with confrontation and passionate about defending nature• Strong public speaking and clear, succinct written communication skills• Experience of building trusting relationships with a range of stakeholders• Comfortable working with data and science as a foundation for campaign workThis role is based in Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland) and is a full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent position.You must be a New Zealand citizen or resident, or hold an existing New Zealand work permit to be considered for this role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
