The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing process and procedure changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness within our procurement operations. This role is not just about day-to-day purchasing activities; it's about shaping the future of our procurement function in an engineering context. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of strategic procurement initiatives tailored to engineering needs to optimise processes and procedures Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and improved supplier performance specific to engineering projects through process enhancements Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to understand specialise procurement requirements and ensure alignment with organisational goals Drive continuous improvement efforts by evaluating current practices, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices within an engineering context Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the procurement team to foster professional growth and development in engineering procurement Act as a liaison between engineering teams and external suppliers to facilitate effective communication and resolution of engineering-specific procurement issuesRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field Proven experience in strategic procurement roles within an engineering context, with a focus on process improvement and change management Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate engineering requirements into actionable procurement strategies Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, particularly in engineering and technical fields Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with a demonstrated understanding of engineering procurement needs Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in engineering procurementIf you are a strategic thinker with a passion for driving process and procedure changes within procurement, specifically within an engineering context, we want to hear from you!
