The Opportunity As a Purchasing Specialist at Not Socks, you will play a pivotal role in our success. As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Purchasing Manager. Your responsibilities will include: Searching for new, exciting products and suppliers Staying up-to-speed with cultural and product trends Traveling to NZ & AU trade shows and product previews Screening and selecting new vendors Building and nurturing strong relationships with key suppliers Negotiating trade terms and pricing, including calculating unit price and landed cost Ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective product deliveries to our warehouse Maintaining quality control of purchased products Resolving any product and/or delivery issues promptly Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all orders Tracking expenditure and adhering to budget guidelines Monitoring costs and exploring innovative procurement strategies Planning and forecasting stock needs, order placement cut-offs, and dispatch deadlines. Your Profile To excel in this role, we are looking for a talented buyer who has a: Minimum of at least 3+ years' purchasing experience Proven track record of successfully sourcing products and suppliers with great sell-through Passion for product trends and curating an exceptional range that customers want Great communication style that builds solid relationships with suppliers Strong analytical mindset with good Excel skills, including expertise in filters and formulas, such as VLOOKUPs A collaborative work style, comfortable with ad hoc duties as needed.
