We truly believe that when people achieve their financial goals, their whanau and communities flourish as a result.To help us with this, we are searching for a Senior Assurance Specialist to join our team in Invercargill.What you'll be busy with:Supporting the delivery of the assurance programme across SBS Bank and an effective compliance programmeConducting reviews of internal processes and undertaking compliance assurance testing of risk management practicesProviding reports and information to assist Management in managing business risk exposures and contributing to industry reporting requirementsProviding advice, based upon industry and commercial experience, engaging stakeholders to make sure effective control assurance resultsCompleting periodic reviews, monitoring and reportingWhat you'll bring:Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and managers, your communication skills will be critical to enable you to effectively challenge the status quo to address gaps and deliver on reviews to meet business objectives whilst maintaining respectful relationshipsProven ability to work autonomously, deliver results and keep abreast of changes in external environment and translate into internal environmentKnowledge and experience in supporting evidence based and fit for purpose governance frameworks, systems and processes for key functions including compliance and assurance systemsPreferably you will have an understanding of Reserve Bank standards, Financial Services Legislation, Capital and LicensingPreferred, but not essential, is experience in an Audit/Assurance role or related qualifications or degree in business, legal or technology related field.This role is full time, with hours of work being 37.5 hours per week.About Us:We're on an exhilarating growth journey, and we need exceptional individuals who are ready to embrace our ambitious goals.
