The Opportunity Our Information Technology team at the Otago Regional Council is looking for a Senior Applications System Analyst to join the team on a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) basis in our busy Dunedin office.
The purpose of this position is to provide configuration and systems administration services for core ORC business systems while ensuring the integrity and safety of the data and applications. The position holder will work alongside IT business analysts and key staff around ORC to recommend and implement improvements to ensure ORC gets maximum value from its business systems.
As a Senior Applications System Analyst you will be responsible for:
Providing advice to business units and IT business analysts on potential improvements to business systemsCollaborating with business units on process changes and how they can be implemented into business systemsWorking with vendor partners on advanced configurations, or where access restrictions or capacity require itWorking with the Head of Information Security to ensure Information Security practices and provisions are adhered toIf you enjoy working collaboratively to ensure the best use of resources across an organisation, then we would love to hear from you!
About You Our ideal candidate will have:
A tertiary qualification in business, information technology, or computer science.Certification or experience in industry frameworks (e.g. ITIL, Prince2, Agile, Waterfall)At least ten years' experience in an IT Systems or Applications Analyst capacity, with at least five at a senior level.Proven experience working across a range of different types of projects and skill competenciesA copy of the full position description is available on our website when you select the link to apply.
