HDS is a Kainga Ora Homes and Communities initiative; they are changing the approach to how they deliver new homes and developments.

About the role As experienced Structural Engineers, you will manage and lead the delivery of our projects as part of the integrated team with HDS, as well as provide your technical expertise on designs.
HDS is bringing a new way of working on their projects with all teams being brought together at their project office from the Architect to the Contractor and everything in between, to ensure collaboration and coordination across teams and to achieve project time-frames we work to a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am-5pm.

About you Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalentAn experienced professional engineer, with New Zealand residential design experienceConversant with relevant NZ Building Codes and statutory requirements, with proven seismic experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients, local councils, architects, and contractors as well as lead and contribute to project deliveryAdaptable with a keen eye for detail, excellent planning, organising, and time management skillsAbility to lead multi-disciplinary projects ensuring timeframes and project briefs are metThrive on a challenge and be motivated to provide innovative solutions for our clientsEnjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of peopleAbout us Kirk Roberts Consulting is a multi-disciplinary company providing Structural, Geotechnical, Fire, Civil and Environmental Engineering Services, Architecture and Engineering Software to a range of clients across New Zealand, from our offices in Christchurch, Auckland, Hamilton, Queenstown, and Tauranga.
