Analysis & Reporting (Mining, Resources & Energy)The incumbent will be responsible for the close monitoring and optimization of Portfolio profitability at SLNG, dashboarding and process improvement to increase productivity within the throughput team, and supporting the budgeting process. This includes reviewing and optimizing SLNG's on-site Gas Engine Generators and/or other assets to maximize revenue, forecasting energy price movements to craft viable strategies to maximize SLNG's profitability, as well as tracking of profitability across SLNG's portfolio. Detailed role responsibilities are described below.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The candidate shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:Budgeting and forecastingForecast and explain Singapore's Energy price movements.Revenue expected from SLNG's on-site Gas Engine Generators (GEGs) and/or other generation units,Accurately track and report SLNG's Throughput Revenue. Explain and reconcile differences between actual and budgeted throughput demand and revenue.Develop reliable processes for forecasting system demand and supply by incorporating public information and market intelligence.Dashboarding and process improvementIncrease team efficiency across Throughput Business Group through active process improvement and automation projects.Create, maintain, and update automation tools and dashboards to track, analyse and report movements in LNG and Energy Markets while reducing human error.Analyse and suggest infrastructural upgrades where required to achieve productivity gains.Portfolio Strategy and OptimizationOptimizing the use of Fuel allocated from downstream customers for the dispatch of SLNG's GEGs and/or other generation assets.Co-ordinate with various teams within Throughput Business Group to optimize the Annual Delivery Programme (ADP) for the SLNG terminal in accordance with the Terminal Use Agreements with the customers of the terminal and operating procedures, and in a manner that secures maximum commercial value to ship scheduling among customers and SLNG across various services.Monitor and evaluate regulatory changes in the gas and power markets – including key milestones and targets set by the Authority (e.g. solar, power imports, etc.), and its impact to SLNG.Provide constructive feedback on proposed regulatory changes and consultation papers issued by EMC and/or EMA to support growth in the gas and power market.Run existing models to provide valuable inputs in the determination of key parameters to be used for Throughput Operations on a year-ahead basis.GEG Commercial OperationsCo-ordinating with Operations team on planned generation outages to minimize impact to SLNG's overall profitability.Prepare GEG's efficiency reports for EMA and self-reports for Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel.Assist with bidding of generation assets into the NEMS in accordance to the relevant market rules where required.Other ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent shall support all other processes and procedures and perform any other duties including reporting to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. regulator and customers, etc), and participate in any other projects as assigned by reporting manager or his delegated authority.WORK EXPERIENCESAt least 3 years' experience in a similar role, experience in the energy industry will be considered favourably.Good understanding of LNG terminal operations, terminal use agreements and nominations and scheduling activities under such agreements will be an asset.Preferably possesses a good understanding of Singapore's Gas Network Code and the natural gas operations in Singapore.Good understanding in the National Electricity Market of Singapore, system and market operations, and market rules is highly favoured.Must be able to deal with constant change and variation.Ability to coordinate effectively with internal colleagues across various functions, as well as with external customers.Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.Ability to take directions from supervisors and work in a team environment.Proficient with MS Office applications, good analytical skills and is meticulous in processes and procedures.Proficiency in VBA, SQL, PowerBI and/or Python is highly preferred.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSDiploma/Degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering from a reputable university.Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Singapore?What's your expected monthly basic salary?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG) was incorporated by the Energy Market Authority of Singapore in June 2009 to build, own and operate Singapore's very first open-access, multi-user LNG Terminal.
