This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it… Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity As a member of the Workforce Development team you will play a key role in the Student Placement System project. This role has shared accountability for strengthening a diverse health workforce pipeline that will deliver a health workforce with the capacity, capability, and resilience that Aotearoa New Zealand needs now and in the future. This includes a digital tool and hub to support system users. You will possess a strategic mindset, have a proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships across health and education providers to enable and facilitate the growth of clinical placements, bring a wealth of experience in developing new initiatives, service design and supporting change programmes and implementation processes. You enjoy a fast-paced setting, get it done attitude and ability to juggle day to day to be highly responsive to the needs of our stakeholders. You have a track record of leading continuous improvement projects, a willingness to drive change and demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the journey. You possess a keen understanding of how issues unfold and recognise what is paramount to key stakeholders. Your insights enable strategic alignment of workforce development initiatives with broader organisation goals, ensuring impactful outcomes. You will be experienced in producing high quality written products, presentation materials, reports and briefing papers in a timely fashion, often under time pressures. If you are a dynamic individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses the skills and experience outlined above, we encourage you to apply and be a crucial part of our dedicated team. Clinical or other operational policy background with experience in service design, delivering work programmes and project planning Proven ability to operate and get buy-in within the health and education sector with complex stakeholder interests Experience in supporting the design of work programmes and project planning and advising on complex planning leading to the successful implementation of regional or national initiatives Written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles Significant experience in working knowledge of public sector processes including providing advice to Ministers desirable A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth Ko te mahi e tika ana mo te ao hurihuri nei |Work that suits today's ever -changing world Te Whatu Ora supports flexible and hybrid working for our kaimahi.
