Senior Advisor, Media at Taumata Arowai, Wellington - Wairarapa Type: PermanentHours: 40Location: WellingtonBusiness Group: Systems, Strategy and PerformanceTaumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Maori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Maori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks.

We are looking for someone who:
Can develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersHas significant experience managing media relations including reputation managementHas a strong understanding of the political and media landscapes withing New ZealandA strong commitment to te reo Maori and te ao Maori expertise; and in developing strong and meaningful relationships with mana whenua and Maori organisations through a Maori communications lensHas robust and well-developed critical thinking skills to drive a considered media strategyPlease note, candidates must submit a completed Application Form to be considered for this role.
