If your answer is yes, there is a unique and exciting opportunity to join New Zealand's national museum!Te Papa is looking for a Senior Advisor Information Management to be part of our world-leading, bicultural, cross-disciplinary museum.Responsibilities of this position include:bringing your specialist knowledge of best practice information management to strengthen the integrity and maturity of management of information assets at Te Papa including achieving compliance with the Public Records Act (2005) and retaining awareness of emerging trends in information managementchampioning good information management practices across Te Papa including fostering and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to understand and meet their needsleading the administration and enhancement of Te Papa's Enterprise Content Management system (OpenText Content Server) Pou Mataaho, to make Te Papa's information assets easily available, discoverable, and usablesupporting the product owner of Pou Mataaho in designing the future roadmap for Te Papa's key information system.This position is permanent, full-time position in the Information Management and Archives team (part of Collection Access group in the Collections and Research directorate), and reports to the Manager Information Management and Archives.The IM&A team is responsible for:the management of all aspects of Te Papa's IM framework, policies and processes, and systemsthe delivery of IM operationsthe management and care of, and access to the Museum and Collected Archives.The successful candidate will have:relevant tertiary qualification in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree would be a plusproven experience in successfully applying information management principles and technologies in a professional settingdemonstrated ability to deliver a leadership role to encourage highly effective cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and implement information management projects and initiativesexcellent understanding of the implications of government policy and initiatives on records management; in-depth knowledge of the Public Records Act (2005), the Archives NZ Information and Records Management Standard (2016), the Privacy Act (2020) and the Official Information Act (1982)expertise in managing and developing enterprise content management (ECM) systems including technical systems management, analytical skills to develop creative solutions within the information management framework, and a high level of computer literacy, particularly with cloud-based systemsa good basic understanding of Maori tikanga and Treaty of Waitangi principles; appropriately use and pronouncing of Te Reo Maori commensurate with the requirements of the roleexcellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with staff at all levels across the institution, and with outside organisations and vendorsability to see the big picture, prioritise and apply a pragmatic approach to problem solvingbe able to work collaboratively in a complex and changing environment.To apply, please provide a cover letter describing how your skills, background and experience fit with this role and a copy of your CV outlining relevant work experience.The appointment range for this position is $79,299 to $94,167 with opportunity to progress with experience in the role.
