We do this by:protecting land, species, ecosystems, and cultural heritage for conservation purposesmanaging threats and adverse impactsbeing a voice for conservationconnecting people to nature.In this role, you will report to DOC's Human Resources Advisory Manager, while providing critical support to several directors and their leadership teams. You will work closely with your portfolios directors and managers to understand their business needs and pain points and provide pragmatic advice to enable managers to make the best decisions.Your portfolio will be varied which could see you supporting operational field delivery teams as well as corporate teams. You will provide support across all HR workstreams including employment relations and performance management, organisational development and workforce planning, capability building and employee engagement, as well as recruitment and remuneration.You will be joining a team of advisors and senior advisors located nationally. As such, we are open to considering candidates in Hamilton or Wellington. Please note, there may be some travel required.If you have the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you:You will have experience as an HR Business Partner/ senior advisor or be an advisor ready to step up. You will need to be flexible, adaptable and agile in your HR practices and have extensive experience in providing best practice advice.With previous experience within a government agency, you will understand the complexities and be able to navigate various portfolios.You will be adept at balancing a varied and demanding workload.Ability to provide both strategic advice and hands on support.You will be able to quickly earn the trust and confidence of your internal customers, where you foster new thinking and adaptiveness to coach and mentor leaders to respond to changing needs and develop high performing teams.DOC is committed to fostering a diverse workforce that represents the communities we serve, creating an inclusive workplace culture, supporting the relationship between Maori and the Crown, and lifting our cultural capability.
