You will lead selected analytical workstreams and contribute actively towards New Zealand's International Development Cooperation programme. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and leadership in working through complex and challenging economic issues in support of the achievement of the Ministry's strategic priorities, including improved international development outcomes.The salary range for these roles are $124,674 to midpoint $146,675. These fixed total remunerations are inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution and negotiable depending on skills and experience.Please view a copy of the Position Description here .Please note you may be required to travel overseas.Ma wai te mahi nei? - Who are we looking for?We'd like to hear from you if you possess the following skills and experience:A postgraduate tertiary qualification (preferably at Honours level or above) in economics and/or financeExperience (4 years minimum) providing qualitative and quantitative economic analysis and policy adviceUnderstanding of the international economic and political environmentIn addition we will be looking for you to highlight the following on your application:Experience researching and analysing global macroeconomic and financial markets trendsAdvising on economic policy issuesIdeally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Maori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Maori (the Maori worldview) into your work. If you are just starting on this journey that's OK too - as long as you have a willingness to learn and a desire to develop your cultural capability.
