Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Position at Chiles HospitalityChiles Hospitality on beautiful Anna Maria Island is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. We operate three iconic waterfront restaurants (Sandbar, Beach House, and Mar Vista) and an organic farm. This position will have a working relationship with our upper management team and will report directly to the CFO. We are looking for an accounting professional with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas. A restaurant accounting background would be ideal, but not required.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reconcile all material balance sheet accounts monthly (cash, liabilities, prepaids).Conduct quarterly account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.Coordinate annual reporting for compilation reports.Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets.Contribute to the development of new accounting systems and programs.Education and experience required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required5+ years' experience in general ledger accountingExperience with computerized ledger systems (familiarity with Restaurant 365 platform a plus)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeAdvanced knowledge of ExcelStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to function well in a team-oriented environmentExperience with process improvement to optimize efficiencies company-wideChiles Hospitality offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a phenomenal work setting - on the beach.
