Senior Accountant

Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting) Our client provides taxation, accounting, and business services specifically tailored for the music and film sector in both New Zealand and abroad. They are actively seeking a Senior Accountant who is ready to embrace a rewarding career and where your expertise is valued.   Role purpose:   As Senior Accountant, you will have the chance to engage with a diverse range of clients, providing an array of services from Tax Planning to Management Accounts preparation. You will foster strong client relationships, lead Business Advisory Services, and take on a pivotal role in the firm's growth. Operating at an intermediate or senior level, you will bring your strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and proactive approach to the table. This role is ideal for a confident individual with a passion for accuracy, attention to detail, and a drive to progress to the next level within the firm.   Key duties and responsibilities: Overseeing Management Account preparation Compiling tax returns and GST returns Assisting clients with accounting systems and training Preparation of Financial Statements Preparation of Dividend distributions Assist and support junior/intermediate staff Preparation of cashflow forecast Liaise with inland Revenue resolving queries   Skills and Qualifications: At least 4-5 years of NZ Business Advisory experience CA qualification will be advantageous Experience from a medium-sized BAS firm Strong technical knowledge including tax and BAS Proactive individual with high level of professionalism On offer:   Joining a multicultural team, known for its supportive environment and longevity, you will embrace a role that is both interesting and diverse.
