This is an exceptional opportunity to work as a Security Officer in a fast paced, enjoyable environment with elements of variety.
The role
You will be working with a team of Security Officers who provide a range of services to staff, students, VIP’s and other visitors as well protecting the University of Auckland’s assets and property. We host state of the art equipment and showcase one of the largest Access Control and CCTV systems in the Southern Hemisphere.
You must be flexible and willing to work on a 24/7 rotating shift roster. Good communication skills are essential along with the desire to make a positive difference. It is necessary that you have the ability to work in a team environment with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Previous security experience is ideal but not essential, and you must be a self-starter with motivation to develop your skill set.If you are looking for an exciting role in security, then this is for you!
- Successful candidates must hold a Certificate of Approval for the Security Industry and be willing to undertake training as prescribed.
- Ideally you hold a Level 2 Certificate in Security (NZQA recognised).
- You must be of good health and have a high level of physical fitness.
- The successful applicant will need to be able to obtain a NZ Police clearance and hold or apply for a NZ Drivers Licence.
