Science Systems Lead Developer - Gns Science

Join the team at GNS Science and work on the developing software and systems that enhances the Science Systems, particularly to monitor geohazards in New Zealand.
One of our key products is GeoNet, which is the web destination for New Zealanders to get the latest on the country's natural hazards such as earthquakes and volcanic activity.
We're a small, and highly skilled development team, working primarily with Open Source Software with plenty of exciting projects in the pipeline that will push Science Systems, including the GeoNet website and mobile applications, further in delivering the sorts of information that New Zealanders want - and faster!
We are currently seeking a Lead Developer to advance and lead the design, development and quality of our software systems and to provide technical direction for exciting new projects.
Success calls for someone with:

Proven experience with.Programming in Go, Java or Swift, with a preference for GoCI/CD, Travis preferredAmazon Web Services and an appropriate cloud automation tool. Terraform preferred.HTML, CSS, JS and experience developing responsive web sitesGit/GitHub and tools for code reviewChampioning DevOps practices
Experienced withDockerRelational databases. PostgreSQL an advantage with PostGIS a bonusMobile development
Knowledge of web service architectures and technologies
A willingness to learn and stay up to date with new technology.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
