About the role:
This is the opportunity to get your career in sales and marketing really humming with the leading Pasifika health, social services and educational group In New Zealand – The Fono. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will have lots of chances to use your talents. These are just some of the activities you will be involved in at The Fono and its education unit the Oceania Career Academy:
• Planning marketing and direct sales campaigns
• Carrying out coordinated activities across the spectrum
• Writing for all media – including radio, newsletters and on-line social media
• Working with community groups, business and Pasifika agencies
• Developing presentations and presenting them
• Web based action
• Event management
About You:
We are looking for someone with the vision, skills and enthusiasm to really want to make a difference in Pasifika health, social services and educating our young people. You will have already decided you want to do more than just focus on one or two aspects of the marketing and sales mix. You want to show your versatility and innovative thinking across a range media, sales and promotional tools. Here’s your check list:
• Knows how to plan and budget
• Is creative
• Can write well
• Knows how to do knockout presentations
• Loves making sales (recruiting patients, clients and students for The Fono and OCA)
• Can manage diverse activities (have a few balls in the air)
• Understands Pasifika cultures and protocols
