Who They Are Our client is an HVAC brand with a reputation for providing dependable products. They are looking for a Sales Manager to cover the West Coast region due to huge growth and expansion of the business. They are looking to more than double their $1.5MM territory, and they need someone with a background in hydronics and HVAC with experience calling on mechanical contractors, design firms, and specifiers to do it. This person needs to be a road warrior! What You'll Do Identify, qualify, and initiate relationship with potential clients Develop and maintain territory plans for sales territory, including account classifications, target accounts and territory growth plans, and other records including call reports Manage all aspects of the company's relationship with assigned accounts, including product knowledge training sessions, account growth strategies and customer need identification and resolution Responsible for performing accurate quotations/bids following bidding (pricing) guidelines within a timely manner to customers and obtains upper management approval for more competitive pricing Communicates in a timely manner with various department personnel such as Customer Service, Production, Materials, and Distribution to coordinate materials, distribution, costs and scheduling for production and distribution on all projects Develop and maintain working knowledge of competitor's products and services to facilitate selling company products and provide competitor information including market position and pricing Develop and maintain timely and complete account profiles, including contact names, call reports, strategic objectives, growth potential, market share and sales projections Visit assigned accounts on a regular basis, in accordance with territory sales plans and account profiles Participate in trade shows, contractor nights and other company or customer events Demonstrate a positive "team" orientation when dealing with customers and fellow team members Manage and/or participate in special projects as neededWhat You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required 3-5 years of experience in a similar position The ability to rapidly learn highly technical information in a dynamic work environment A talent for explaining technical details in comprehensible terms The ability to work efficiently, both independently and in a team Effective networking skills across disciplines and cultures Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products Ability to read and accurately interpret project specifications Current driver license required with clean driving recordOvernight travel up to 75%, evening and weekend activity required
