THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY Job title: Rope Access Technician  Job location: Auckland region (based in 84 Kerrs Road, Wiri, Auckland and allocated clients' sites) Number of positions for this job: 5 Employment type: Permanent, Full-time Hourly rate: $30.00 - $37.00  Days required: Monday to Friday and weekends when required Hours per week: The normal work hours for a week are 40, to be worked during the hours of 6AM to 6PM Monday to Friday and before or after normal hours/weekends/nightshifts when required. Sometimes our work will be affected by things that are out of control e.g. poor/unsafe weather conditions, so your start and finish times and days of work may vary as directed. Your hours of work will not be reduced below 30 hours and any increase in hours will be reasonable. Job description: Perform operational duties - rope access/abseiling responsibilities and various other tasks, including facilities groundwork. Follow onsite compliance & protocols, the Team Leader's (job lead's) instructions and work as a team player. Promote and maintain high standards, safety, work quality and working practices. With a customer focused and professional approach, you will join an experienced industrial rope access team within our busy building wash division. This includes building washing, water blasting, window cleaning as well as repairs and maintenance of all kinds at height and at ground level. Every day will vary! ABOUT YOU  IRATA qualified with 3 years relevant work experience. Proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling. Knowledge/experience as Building Wash Technician (waterblasting, waterfed poling, squeegeeing / blading, whirlaway, moss and mould treatment) or abseil maintenance would be ideal. Conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation. Full & valid  Driver Licence (NZ Class 1 or equivalent INternational Class) required.  Ideally able to drive a manual vehicle. Class 2 Driver licence or higher will be highly desirable. Ability to work productively in adverse conditions. Physically and mentally fit.
