Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced Risk and Assurance Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract in Christchurch. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the strategic risk management framework and internal assurance program of a leading commercial organization.
The Risk and Assurance Manager position is a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, improving risk management and governance processes, and enabling the achievement of strategic objectives. You will be CA qualified and be comfortable operating both in the detail and at the strategic level.
You will work closely with senior leaders, developing relationships and influencing behaviour change. Your ability to understand complex matters and identify process improvements will be crucial. You will also lead or assist with reviews or internal projects commissioned by the Executive or Board.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in executing the Group internal assurance programme and the strategic risk management framework.Bring a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of strategic risk management, internal control and governance processes.Develop policies and procedures for company requirements relating to corporate governance, including anti-bribery, corruption, and fraud risk management.Lead or assist with other NZ reviews or internal projects commissioned by the Executive or Board.Foster a culture within the NZ operations that will allow risk and assurance to become a trusted advisor that supports the organisation in achieving its strategic priorities.Key Qualifications: CA/CPA/CIMA qualified or relevant equivalent tertiary qualification.Proven experience in a similar role within a large, complex business environment.Skills in promoting and educating on risk management practices.Knowledge of assessing compliance with standards, laws, and regulations.Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.This is an opportunity to gain commercial experience with a well regarded organisation. Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 per annum + Competitive Salary
