New ocean possibilities that work for iwi and their aspirations for today and the future.   Due to an internal promotion and working within the backbone of our kahui, Corporate Services you will support, collaborate, and work with our Kaiwhakahaere Putea | Finance Manager in the management of our kahui and its entities finances. This will involve working closely with our leadership team, Board, kahui entities and pan-iwi in preparing financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and preparing tax returns and account reconciliations. In addition, you will be responsible for calculating iwi coastline species quota and tonnage based on Kawanatanga sustainability and allocation rounds which occur twice a year.  To be considered for this role, you will be CA qualified with an undergraduate degree in accounting. You will possess extensive relevant work experience as well as exceptional communication and relationship management skills, due to the level of engagement your role has with senior stakeholders across Maoridom. Thus, it goes without saying that you will be able to demonstrate competency or knowledge and understanding of or a commitment to tikanga and te reo Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and iwi Maori.
