Times-7 is an advanced UHF RFID antenna design and manufacturing company based in Lower Hutt.
Times-7 Research Ltd is looking for an RF Engineer who will be an integral part of the Times-7 Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a Physics background (advancing in laser technology or similar) or microwave engineering background. Masters students or bachelor with honors preferred with excellent academics achievements. Previous work experience is a bonus, but we are open to recent graduates.
What we want from you:
Design, create and implement RF antenna system solutions to improve the performance of UHF RFID communication systems.
Maintain patent and protection of IP for any innovative technology creations.
Perform antenna design, measurement, optimization, and testing with the help of the latest tools.
Coordinate with Mechanical and Production engineers to test and integrate the antenna solution developed with other products.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams to present the design concepts clearly.
Coordinate with the engineering teams effectively.
Contribute to the design reviews conducted in the team.
Design new and creative antennas and arrays in CAD software such as Draftsight
Provide guidance and support to the Sales and Marketing team.
Develop prototypes and test them in the field as well as in the lab.
Manage the far-field testing of antennas done in the latest facilities.
Provide complex Antenna and RF troubleshooting support to technicians conducting on-site formal system testing events
Analyze engineering change notices for impact to production test processes and flow
Participate in Root Cause Corrective Analysis of faulty components identified during test events
Perform antenna testing at multiple different test range facilities
Review and analyze antenna and RF test results to ensure the product meets pre-determined expectations
Review and make recommendations to acceptance test procedures
Good academic writing and documentation skills are needed.
