This role will support the Revenue Team Lead in the planning and delivery of the revenue function (including all forms of revenue - rates, revenue from water meters and sundry income), the processing of cash receipts and collection of debt.This role will ensure that ratepayers and customers are billed appropriately, enquiries are responded to in a timely manner, billing data is accurate and that the end to end revenue processes are delivered in accordance with legislation, Council policy and good practice.As our ideal candidate you will have good interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and capability to deal with a wide range of people within and outside the organisation, along with a minimum of three year's experience working in financial area of organisation requiring knowledge and accuracy in working with numbers.You will need strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and previous experience in working within the rating area of local Government and knowledge of Local Government legislation and regulations would be an advantage.Te Kaunihera o nga Roto o Rotorua (Rotorua Lakes Council) is committed to working in partnership with Te Arawa, our local iwi.
