Retail Assistant - Full Time - Waitomo

Our world-famous iconic Waitomo Glow Worm Cave Visitor Centre requires a motivated and energetic Retail Assistant with previous experience working in a similar environment to join the crew in our busy retail store.
Our souvenir/gift shops are in our world-class tourism centre at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and at the Legendary Blackwater Rafting!
You will be responsible for managing first impressions through your friendly and professional manner, positive work ethic, and ability to ensure excellent customer service.
This role is a permanent, full time position.
Key Responsibilities include: Provide exceptional customer service.Maintain a current working knowledge of all Waitomo attractions products and services.Engaging and relating to visitors with a wide range of cultures.Knowledge of the local area and wider North Island to assist clients with their general queries.Key Criteria for our winning candidate include: Previous Customer Service, preferably within Tourism is essential.Strong attention to detail, numeracy and process skills.Able to work under pressure.Ability to use own initiative and a good team-player.Must be available on a 7 day rotating roster.Friendly, reliable, trustworthy and honest.Keen to learn.High standard of personal grooming and presentation.Whether you are a student passionate about tourism, adventure seeker or someone who simply adores NZ we want to hear from you!Hard work, trust and excellent manaakitanga (hospitality) focus are all part of the package we need.
