The roles are permanent, full-time positions based in our central Wellington office.About the role:As Resource Advisor or Senior Resource Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Council to carry out its resource management responsibilities under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). This includes providing advice and guidance on natural resource management, processing resource consent applications, carrying out compliance inspections, audits of self-monitoring data and reports, responding to environmental incidents and carrying out associated investigations and enforcement action.The roles sit within the Urban Activities team focused on urban water supplies, wastewater treatment plants and stormwater. As such, you will be adept at balancing the interests of a wide range of customers to come up with pragmatic solutions to complex resource management issues. These solutions will contribute to Greater Wellington's community outcomes of a strong economy; healthy environment; and a connected, resilient and engaged community.
