The role/Te mahi Reporting to the Library Research Services Manager, this position provides high quality, innovative services, ensuring the library supports optimal research practices across the University and aligns with the University's strategic research goals. You will develop, implement, and maintain training initiatives and resources focused on open research for the University of Otago community. The design and delivery of workshops and presentations providing guidance, advocacy, outreach, and support in Open Scholarship is key to the role. You will keep abreast of developments in research data and open research fields and offer expert guidance and suggestions to shape service delivery and introduce new offerings. Your skills and experience/Ka pukeka me ka wheako You will have a Postgraduate library, or information management qualification, or PhD, or research experience. Essential is knowledge of research practices; specifically scholarly communications, academic publishing practices, repository technologies, bibliometrics, research lifecycles, research data management concepts, and open scholarship. You will understand the latest advances in information technologies to support the university community to integrate these tools into their teaching, learning, and research.
