Nga korero mo te turanga - About the role Reporting to the Director, this is an exciting opportunity to join a large team and contribute to New Zealand's future by connecting the researchers in the University to sector partners and research investors, through research projects, contracts and consultancies, with a particular focus on Pillar II of Horizon Europe. You will provide professional and expert advice and support to researchers and to Research Institutes and Centres, to help achieve the University's strategic targets, particularly with regard to external research income. You will be responsible for providing support such as identifying and facilitating new funding opportunities, project management and relationship support for ongoing projects, relationships with external stakeholders and key funders, preparation of research applications and helping to develop research strategy, policy and capability in the University. If you enjoy combining business and intellectual challenges, have extensive experience engaging with research and researchers in a university, research institute or commercial environment, and can develop and implement plans and projects, this is the perfect position for you. Along with a relevant qualification, you will also have the following: * Demonstrated understanding of the research environment in Europe and New Zealand * At least five years' experience developing business growth strategies and operational plans * Demonstrated organisational and administrative abilities to manage a wide range of management tasks simultaneously. * An ability to build positive collegial relationships with researchers and external stakeholders * Knowledge of and a willingness to continuously learn about different academic disciplines Ko wai matou? - Who are we?
