Research Engineer (THZ MEMS metasurface), IME Research Engineer (THZ MEMS metasurface), IME The Micro-Electro-Multiphysical Systems (MEMS) team at Institute of Microelectronics (IME), Singapore is looking for a candidate to lead various testing capabilities of terahertz devices and systems. The engineer will work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development and testing of metasurface-based terahertz technologies to enable future 6G wireless networks. The job responsibilities will include: Develop various terahertz testing capabilities and setups including high-frequency electrical characterization and over-the-air testing. Design PCB level circuits for characterization of fabricated terahertz chips. Automate data acquisition and analysis process to improve test efficiency. Develop comprehensive electromagnetic simulation models of metasurface and design verification. Manage THz laboratory including facilities, health and safety, equipment calibration, and inventory monitoring. Prepare technical presentations and papers for internal meetings, as well as conferences and journals. Collaborate with project team to ensure quality and on-time delivery for various projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Potential candidates should meet the following requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering / Applied Physics or equivalent. Experience in design/fabrication/testing of electromagnetic devices, especially for metasurfaces is a must. Good knowledge and clarity in understanding of fundamentals of electromagnetic concepts. Experience in electromagnetic simulation software such as CST, COMSOL, Lumerical, or HFSS. Experience in terahertz characterization and data analysis is a plus. Experience in layout drawing software, such as Cadence, L-edit is a plus. Experience in Python programming skills for data analysis is a plus. Good communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently, as well as being an excellent team player.
