Regulatory Compliance Officer
Attractive pay rate- $55 hourly + Superannuation
Work close to home for a NSW Government Organisation, Sydney CBD
Initial 3 month contract, with potential for further extensions
This NSW Government department, based in the heart of Sydney CBD, currently has several opportunities available for experienced Regulatory Officers to commence in early April. In this role you will be responsible for case managing requests from the general public relating to access to information and privacy. This challenging role will see you interpreting legislation and liaising with various, putting daily into practice your high level analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Management of a high caseload of requests that require a timely and accurate response aligned to the legislation.
Dealing with internal stakeholders and members of the general public regularly.
Researching, reviewing and analysing documents to apply appropriate legislative requirements and strong decision making.
Preparing written correspondence
Working to mitigate those risks on any significant, sensitive, or legally complex matters arising from reviews
Identify systemic or significant non-compliance issues and determining appropriate responses
Attending meetings
Working on project activities
This opportunity will require strong skills in dispute resolution / complaints management, collating information and statutory decision making. You will possess:
Previous experience in the development and implementation of policies, procedures or guidelines
Experience using complex databases, project software and, complex spread sheets.
Previous project management skills and experience in research, data collection & analysis
High level verbal and written communication skills in a government environment
Experience in analysis and problem solving in previous projects.
