What we do

Ward A4 is an Acute Orthopaedic ward with an eyefor excellence in nursing care. As one of two acute orthopaedic wards based atChristchurch Hospital it has 30 beds and includes a dedicated 5 bed TraumaUnit.
Dealing with acute orthopaedic injuries,orthopaedic trauma and other orthopaedics diagnoses, Ward A4 offers an excitingand challenging multidisciplinary (MDT) environment and will provide you withan excellent opportunity to extend your surgical nursing knowledge and skills.Our cohesive MDT team includes a Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialistto help support and develop our valued nursing staff to ensure you obtain allthe opportunities orthopaedic nursing has to offer.
The Role:Where you fit in
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will haveexcellent communication skills and a passion for orthopaedic nursing. Joinus and you will have the opportunity to be working as part of a team ofexperienced health professionals, who work together to provide a consistentlyhigh standard of care for our patients.
Ward A4 is also a Dedicated Education Unit whereyou’ll enjoy being involved in the development of studentnurses. Experienced candidates with previous surgical experience is preferred.
