Communities, Women and Children Directorate have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to work within a developing Wound Care Service. This person will work in conjunction with the CNS Wound Care.
This is role will be responsible for managing wound care in the hospital and community setting, and will include seeing patients in a clinic setting. You will part of the wider inpatient hospital surgical and medical teams, and the Community Nursing team.
Ideally you would have previous experience and or an interest in wound management Some previous experience in wound care is preferred, however further education, training and mentorship will be provided.
Candidates must be committed to leading innovative practice, have knowledge of, and a demonstrated ability to achieve continuous improvement outcomes and work collaboratively across the health sector in partnership with health professionals and agencies. Candidates will also be committed to ongoing professional development, excellence in all aspects of clinical care, and maintain a current Nursing annual practicing certificate.
You will:
Act as an effective role model by demonstrating a high level of clinical competence and case management
Be cultural responsive and be able to engage with patients and their whanau
Work independently, with good time management and to show positive outcomes
Be able to build relationship with both internal and external teams.
