The ward caters for medical, surgical, mental health, orthopaedic and oncology patients as well as a range of day cases.
At the front of the ward is the Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU), this provides short term treatment and monitoring, the patient is then either discharged home or admitted to the ward. Based in the PAU is our nurse operated outpatient clinic which runs four mornings a week.
To be considered for this role, you must have
Minimum of 3-4 years of recent, relevant direct Paediatric nursing experience within New Zealand Hardworking, self-motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic. Be willing to develop their skills and engage in professional development. A ward 2B nurse is first and foremost a team player and w e are looking for nurses who are passionate about child health and wellbeing. The role is for rostered and rotating shifts.
A successful candidate will get a comprehensive orientation, and ongoing support with the nursing educator.
