Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The remuneration range for this role is $75,773 to $106,739 and is covered by the collective agreement: NZNO MECA (31 March 2023 – 31 October 2024) The Outpatient department is currently looking for Registered Nurses with a passion for and experience in outpatient nursing / planned care. Our busy department manages many specialty services including but not limited to, Orthopedics and Fracture, General Surgery, General Medicine, Ear, Nose and Throat, Ophthalmology, Sleep, Respiratory, Diabetes, Cardiology, Women's Health, and other visiting specialties. 
Nurses play a pivotal role in ensuring patient and whanau are supported through their health care journey. We are seeking candidates who are passionate and will promote patient advocacy, demonstrate sound communication skills, provide and strive for exceptional quality of care within the planned care environment as per the organization's policies, procedures and greater organization's WAKA values.
Responsibilities include; · Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, interventional procedures and education.
· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment.
· Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
· Maintain professional development and competence.
· Strong clinical skills and knowledge.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications · Must be a Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand annual practicing certificate.

Whilst the unit is currently open Monday to Friday and some weekends, the role is advertised as rostered and rotating shifts. Gisborne Hospital Te Whatu Ora and the Outpatient department is committed to CCDM/VRM, therefore, shifts in other areas of the hospital are required.
