Registered Nurse – Orthopaedic Ward

We are seeking applications from motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to work in our busy Adult Orthopaedic Ward at Whangarei Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive team that are passionate about the care they provide in an exciting environment.
You will be supported with professional development and specialised orthopaedic study day opportunities.
The Orthopaedic Ward is a 32 increasing to 34 bed ward, caring for elective and acute / trauma patients. There is a nurse lead pre elective clinic (joint camp) preparing patient for upcoming hip and knee surgery. We see a variety of presentations via our emergency department, orthopaedic clinic and our 3 rural hospitals which are supported by Whangarei hospital.
Your skills:
Recent hospital experience in NZ
Well-developed communication skills: with patients, their whanau and the inter-disciplinary teams
Committed to high standards of patient focussed clinical care and a desire to grow and develop

Nursing staff are supported by a Clinical Nurse Manager, Associate Clinical Nurse Manager and ward based Nurse Educator. Full orientation and support will be provided for the successful applicants.
