Here in our Ophthalmology Outpatients Department, our friendly team take immense pride in their positive involvement in the patient journey. We are on the lookout for someone that shares this important value, and who is committed to making a positive impact on the patient experience. That someone could be you!
We are now seeking applications from dynamic and career driven Registered Nurses, preferably with experience in Ophthalmology or a strong desire to grow in this area, to help us continue to provide top quality, patient centred care on a permanent, part time basis.
About the Role
The Ophthalmology Outpatient Department is a busy, challenging and rewarding place to work. As a clinic nurse, you’ll work as a member of the multidisciplinary team with a primary focus to provide excellent patient care. The ability to work within a close team environment is paramount to your success in the role.
The role calls for someone willing to advocate for patients and who strives to improve efficiency in the patient journey, so whether you are behind the scenes or on the floor, you will have ample opportunity to make a difference for staff and patients alike.

About You
We’re looking for someone who’s experienced and organised, friendly and calm, able to work independently and at the same time genuinely interested in the best outcome for both patient and team.
Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand.
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.
Our ideal applicant will have ophthalmology experience, but if you are a Registered Nurse that is committed to progressing a career in Ophthalmology, working in an outpatient environment with a commitment to further extend your current scope of practice and education specifically in relation to Ophthalmology this could be the opportunity you are looking for.
