Ko te kaupapa | About the role Te Whatu Ora, New Zealand Health Whanganui, serves a significant area incorporating Whanganui, Rangitikei, Ruapehu, Waimarino and Waiouru Wards. We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced, suitably qualified, team focussed professional, to join our long-established team largely working in Same day Surgical Services and Kimiora Infusion Centre.
Primarily this role provides patient centred care, ensuring safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients and Whanau and a multidisciplinary specialist, team to ensure successful outcomes.
This role requires high level communication abilities to effectively liaise at all levels. Demonstrating a confident, positive, resilient and supportive, manner, the successful candidate will enjoy working in a very precise, structured, challenging and planned environment and will ideally possess the following skills and abilities:
· Relevant and current New Zealand health qualifications including an Annual Practicing Certificate, with the desire and commitment to continue a professional development programme.
· Previous outside theatre or Infusion experience ideally, or a minimum of two years post-graduate knowledge.
· Experience working independently and interdependently, assuming accountability and responsibility for your actions, making critical decisions in challenging and complex situations
· Sound organisational abilities to prioritise, delegate and meet required timelines
· Basic computer literacy
