Our Youth Specialty Service (YSS) in Dunedin provides assessment, support and treatment for youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues, including support to family.
This position will see you managing a caseload, providing assessment, treatment and co-working to facilitate the best outcome for the patient and family. You will enjoy working collaboratively alongside other experienced clinical staff to promote healthy family systems and be able to form sound links with external agencies.
Mo te turanga - About the role As a Registered Nurse, you will have a sound knowledge of appropriate youth focused mental health interventions and provide specialised assessment and treatment, be familiar with group processes, with a strong emphasis on family inclusion for those youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
To be successful in this role, you will be flexible, have a commitment to delivering excellence to youth and their family in an age appropriate and culturally appropriate manner. Liaise effectively in partnership with community agencies to support the youth's health and wellbeing.

Utu whanui - Salary range This role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora /NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 ($81,863 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($106,739) of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
