ED nursing uses all your skills and provides daily learning opportunities. If you are a team player, keep up-to-date with clinical practice, like to work hard, and enjoy a challenge, then apply to join the ED team.

We are seeking registered nurses who meet the criteria as set out below, to join the team in delivering high quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ED and ED Observation Area.
Essential criteria:12+ months experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute area of a NZ secondary or tertiary hospital

Or
Would consider six months recent experience in a MidCentral Health acute setting.
Desirable:One year or more previous Emergency Department experience within the last five years
PDRP Level 3
CORE Level 6
Nationally recognised Emergency Nursing courses (Triage, TNCC, APLS etc)
We currently have various positions available, permanent and temporary, working rotating shifts.

General Information
MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.

Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.

Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures. Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
