The Perioperative Unit has a vacancy for an experienced Registered Nurse to work on a permanent basis as part of the Acute Pain Service team within the Peri-operative Unit. This part time position of 0.3 FTE covers 24 hours over a fortnight. This will include rostered and rotating shifts from Monday to Sunday. This role could suit a self-motivated and enthusiastic surgical nurses with an interest in pain management.
The perioperative unit covers elective and acute surgery and has a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week acute service. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work as part of a multi-specialty team of professionals and to work in a dynamic and busy unit.
Surgical nursing experience is essential for this position and we offer a comprehensive orientation period, in-service education and opportunities to develop within a supportive team environment.
Applicants must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current practicing certificate.
