Monitor and report on the Region's safety compliance, audits and events/actions.Report and investigate incidents, conduct lessons learned exercises, develop corrective action plans and account for incidents in the approved customer/Smiths reporting systems.Conduct Safety Weeks and workplace inspections for sites under your control.Liaise with Key Account Manager to maintain a professional relationship with key clients within the applicable Region.Oversee the scheduling and preventative maintenance programs of the Southern Service Team to ensure compliance and On-time delivery.Ensure operations meet contract Service Level Agreements with customers throughout your region.Assist Key Account Manager in the development and management of service contracts within your region.Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work on customer's equipment; monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and Smiths Detection standards.Forecast resource requirement for scheduled and unscheduled servicing.Approve Service personnel timesheets ensuring maximum utilisation rates and reporting.Pre-approval, management, monitoring and reporting of overtime.Work with sales on service input for tender submissions to ensure cost capture and risk reduction.Identify opportunities for servicing and repair which deliver higher margins to the business and allow us to meet the customer requirements.Manage the Talent Development plan and training for all individuals in the immediate team.Set, monitor and review performance objectives for direct reports.Performance manage team including through probationary periods and improvement plans.Conduct cycle counts in accordance with Smiths Policies and support Finance with audits and full stock counts.Oversee the management of customer request for corrective maintenance and follow through from initial maintenance request logged in to equipment fully operational and triggering of billing.Report product-specific quality concerns using the agreed method.Liaise & communicate with the customers on service matters when required.Liaison with Smiths Detection factories, RPS team and support staff as required.Maintenance of appropriate technical licenses and security passesDuties & ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll definitely need -
Oversee the management of EHS responsibilities for your region - including risk assessments, near misses, PPE requirements, EHS training and Global service EHS reporting.Liaise with Key Account Manager to maintain a professional relationship with key clients within the applicable Region.Utilise SAP system in accordance with Smiths Detection processesOversee the management, replenishment and control of spare parts stock levels within the Southern region's storage and consignment locations.Investigate, analyse and rectify customer concerns, elevating problems to management attention when necessarySupport the field engineers as and when required with technical workJoin us for a great career and competitive compensation & benefits whilst keeping the world a safer place.
