The Role  We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager (South Island) to join our busy team. Based in Christchurch and reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, key responsibilities of the role include: Managing a team of 11 Sales Managers across the South Island (a mix of Rural and Commercial Managers). Providing inspirational leadership that motivates your Sales Managers to consistently achieve profitable and sustainable growth from target customers within the primary sector. Working closely with the Chief Sales Officer to ensure the sales strategy and the annual operating plan is fully understood and executed successfully by the team. Extensive and regular travel throughout the South Island, which may require overnight stays during the week. You will spend at least 80% of your time out in the field with Customers, Sales Managers or working collaboratively with our Operations team. As a primary focus fuel company, you will spend time attending rural and community events supporting your customers and Sales Managers. What Do We Offer? About You To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate: Proven sales management experience - ideally within the rural sector A Health and Safety mindset - to ensure you and your team are managing hazards and risks in the environment Leadership skills - you will need to keep your team motivated to achieving optimum sales performance Coaching – supporting the team to grow their skills Relationship management - be capable of building strong relationships and communicating effectively with key stakeholders Planning and organising - be able to organise your team and ensure quarterly KPIs are achieved Positive behaviour - be a role model to your team Technology – you should be confident in using smart phones, laptops and working remotely. Financial literacy – be capable of working confidently with numbers, analysing data, reporting and forecasting We operate in the rural community every day, therefore you must be able to demonstrate how you can genuinely connect with people and customers in this environment. The Process Any applicants taken forward will be required to undertake pre-employment checks which include a health assessment through an external Occupational Health provider to confirm work fitness.
