About the role: The mid-central region (Wellington, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, and Hamilton) has an exciting opportunity for the Quality and Health & Safety Manager to lead and coordinate Quality & Safety matters that complement the strategic vision, daily operational processes, budget and business direction of the company. As a Quality & Safety Manager, you will work closely with the executive team and head of departments to achieve compliance with ISO15189 and ISO45001 including Work Health & Safety legislative requirements and regulations. This position will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Quality Management and Health and Safety systems for Wellington, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay and Hamilton. The position works closely with the Group Quality and Safety Manager to ensure that the local systems align with the wider national & international compliance systems. This includes ensuring that our laboratory services are meeting the appropriate standards, compliance and certification levels for both quality and health and safety, identifying risks and seeking out continuous improvements. This is a full-time position based at Wellington Hospital that will suit someone who likes to work autonomously, enjoys engaging with the business, and is action orientated. To succeed in this role you will need: Previous experience in a laboratory environment or previous experience in maintaining a Quality System in accordance with ISO 15189 and IANZ requirements Desirable experience working with and maintaining Health & Safety management system ISO 45001 Attention to detail and strong communication skills An understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act Excellent planning and organization skills If you are self-motivated and passionate about Quality & Safety systems then we would like to hear from you.
