The regional analyst will support the work of our regional team by providing quality and timely data analysis. The role will involve:
Proactively providing information support to the regional team. Monitoring the performance of the sector through the collation, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data
Effectively analyse and summarise data and information from a range of databases to identify priority work in schools and early learning services. This may include maintaining systems for databases, undertaking documentation processing and carrying out analysis projects as required
Translation of statistical data into usable information and performance indicators for formal measurement of achievement and student participation
Communicating and presenting accurate, timely data and information for use by the Regional Leadership team, that is easy to consume, audience appropriate, and engaging
We're looking for someone who can offer:
Tertiary qualification and relevant experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis
Knowledge and understanding of, and ability to utilise, appropriate techniques to aid analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including advanced charting of large datasets, Pivot Tables and Pivot Reporting, and complex formulas. Experience with SAS and visualisation software such as Power BI, an advantage
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write succinctly and concisely
Effective oral communicator - confident, clear, concise
Ability to work proactively to identify opportunities to provide information.
Ability to work independently & prioritise work programme
Ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
