Our homes and villages are places where older people have companionship, choice, variety, fun, meaningful activity and a sense of purpose.  Enliven is a not-for-profit service providing aged residential care to older people in the lower half of the North Island.   Mo te turanga - About the role As a Recreation Officer / Diversional Therapy assistant, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating individual resident's recreation plan and recreation programme for the residents of the Dementia Court. This involves running daily activities with staff and volunteers, planning the social calendar for the home and supporting our residents to pursue their interests.  You will also encourage residents to maintain their independence, learn new skills and maintain connections with their community. The role is based in Masterton and will be working in our Dementia Court on days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays (six hours per day), perfect for those wanting to balance work life. Mo koe - About You As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills and sense of humour. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.  In addition, you will have:  A genuine interest in supporting the Recreational activities in our Home  Minimum of Careerforce Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate  Qualification in Diversional Therapy or equivalent relevant experience and preparedness to gain one Experience in a customer-facing role, ability to listen to people and work with them to support their needs Experience in administration with some computer literacy Full, clean New Zealand driver's license Some experience working with Elders or people experiencing memory loss, would be advantageous  What's in it for me?
