Recreation Assistant (Part-Time) | Akau Tangi Sports Centre

The Akau Tangi Sports Centre (12 court facility based in Kilbirnie, Wellington) is a vibrant facility which has seen significant growth over recent years. Our Programmes Team are responsible for delivering programmes and activities that enhance the health and wellbeing of Wellington's communities.
In particular, our Preschool programme which includes Gym Jam, Boppers and Hoppers, and Tumbling Tots our OSCAR approved School Holiday Programmes. We have a highly capable and experienced team of staff that we are looking to expand on.
We are looking for a permanent part-time Recreation Assistant to join the team. You'll be assisting with our delivery of programmes, providing great customer service and ensuring our wonderful facility and equipment is well maintained and presented.
You'll need to:
Be passionate about the Sport and Recreation industryBe comfortable working with childrenPossess a customer focused and a positive and willing attitudeHave great communication and people skillsHave the ability to work in a team and have funPrior coaching experience is preferred but not essential.

This role is 12 hours per week, as follows:
Sun: 9am-1:00pmFriday: 9am-1:00pmThis role has the opportunity to pick up more casual hours where applicable.
