Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.About this opportunityThe primary purpose of the Quality Assistant role is to ensure adherence to quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the production of packaging. This includes assisting in maintaining quality standards, conducting quality assurance procedures, and ensuring staff training in key quality activities. The role involves supporting new product development, conducting data analytics for quality improvement, and participating in problem-solving teams for customer complaints and internal issues.Your key responsibilities will be to:Assist in ensuring the Quality Management System conforms to Customer, PACT, ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other certification, regulatory, and legal requirements.Assist in ensuring quality assurance procedures are implemented throughout the process and audit for compliance.Participate in external audits (customer and certification) and ensure successful outcomes for the business.Assist in the maintenance of quality standards, specifications, and process control plans to facilitate the manufacture of packaging that meets customer expectations.Maintain the program for timely and accurate inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.Assist in ensuring all relevant staff associated with manufacturing are trained in key quality activities and processes.Support operations with QC/QA data analytics and identify improvement opportunities.Assist in directing quality inputs for all related new product development at the site.Support A3 problem-solving teams for customer complaints and internal quality issues. Ensure root causes are identified and addressed.Assist in implementing and driving HSE inspections and audits at the workgroup level, including implementation of improvement plans.Active in promoting improvements to safety systems.Participate in regular meetings on Safety and Quality.Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you'll have:Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Controller in a manufacturing /plastics environment.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.Ability to communicate ideas/ suggestions effectively.Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing facility certified to FSSC 22000 and ISO9001#J-18808-Ljbffr
