Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development) Contract: 22 Month Fixed-term Employee Contract Hours: 3, 4 or 5 shifts per week (9, 12 or 15 hours each week) at specified times on a rota. Your shifts will be in one of the following windows (UK time): between 0630 and 1830, 1230 and 0030, or 2030 and 0830.  Base: Remote (UK or NZ) About Mental Health Innovations (MHI)  MHI is an ambitious charity, driven to provide the public with access to much needed digital support services. The organisation's purpose, to transform lives by improving access to digital resources, is built on a strong belief that technology can help improve mental health outcomes in the UK. Founded in November 2017 following the success of The Royal Foundation's 'Heads Together' campaign, it launched its first product, Shout, in 2019. Shout is a free, confidential, 24/7 text message service for anybody to text when they may be struggling with anxiety, loneliness or depression through to self harm or suicidal thoughts.  Job Summary  To have text-based conversations to provide mental health support to people in distress. To follow our training and, with the support of a Clinical Supervisor, work to take someone in distress to a calmer place. Key Requirements  You must be able to follow the Shout model for support and be comfortable holding a minimum of four conversations simultaneously as directed by your Supervisor. You should be calm, compassionate, communicative, confident and interested in developing skills in the field of digital mental health. You must hold a qualification at Level 4 or better in counselling, psychology, psychotherapy, nursing or social work, and have suitable experience of working on the front line of mental health. You must hold, or commit to studying towards, a Level 3 safeguarding qualification. Ideally, you should have an external supervisor or a personal counsellor, but we are aware that some jobs or qualifications do not require this. You must be able to commit to taking shifts at times stipulated by our rota between three and five times per week on average, and be able to respond to occasional calls to help out if we are experiencing a substantial spike in demand at other times. You must be able to attend a group supervision session with our practice lead once a month, which will be held remotely. Contracts of either 3, 4 or 5 shifts (shift=3hrs) per week, rota'd by MHI in either Team A, B or C (see below, please specify your preference in your cover letter) A. UK Based, 06:30 - 18:30 GMT  B. UK Based, 12:30 - 00:30 GMT C.
