Build your skills and develop your career for a well-known NZ business.About the role:Purchasing Specialists are ultimately responsible for the weekly buying of all ingredients for My Food Bag products. From forecast to delivery of goods, including the full complete process in-between. This role will specifically manage our indirect spend and packaging.Responsibilities:Manage Indirect Suppliers including labour providers, transport, utilities, forklifts and waste.Place purchase orders following the lock of customer orders.Manage assigned suppliers to a specific delivery window, ensuring they deliver to the appropriate distribution centre without delaying the pick-and-pack operation.Continuous communication with critical and strategic suppliers and internal stakeholdersEnsuring quality standards and food safety are maintained and adhered to each weekOrdering within budget and having back-up plans when necessary.Data analysis of cost increases and volumesHelp develop purchasing management strategies for assigned category to achieve business objectives and profitability.Manage KPIs of suppliers, which includes Improving cost of COGS, quality, and DIFOTExperience Required:2 to 3 years of purchasing or category experience.Competent in Microsoft ExcelPreviously worked in FMCG or any other food-related companyDriver's License and vehicle (to visit suppliers)Prior experience with labour providers would be a bonus!About us at MFB!We are a fast moving, ambitious team that are driven to do what's right for our customers.
